QSAA President: Many External Participations Await Qatari Teams
Doha, May 29, 2018 - The President of Qatar Shooting and Archery Association (QSAA) Ali Al Kuwari, said that the coming period will witness many external participations for Qatari teams at the international, Asian and Arab levels.
Al Kuwari stressed that the Qatari teams will participate in the coming period in four major world championships, all of which will give qualification points to the finals of the upcoming Olympic Games Tokyo 2020, in addition to their participation in the Asian Championships next year in Doha in November 2019, which is also qualifying for Tokyo 2020.
Al Kuwari added that (QSAA) will organize the Arab Shooting Championships in November this year, a tournament that has always witnessed good participation of Arab shooters.
He pointed out that the coming period will see regular preparation periods for all the national shooting teams that will participate in the upcoming Asian Games Asiad 2018 to be held in Indonesia in August this year, as (QSAA) aspires to participate in this tournament to win many medals knowing that the participation of Qatar will be in all shooting competitions, and in the coming period the names of shooters who will represent Qatar in Asiad will be announced.
QSAA President said that after Qatar's participation in Asiad, the teams will travel directly to Korea to participate in the Asian Championship for the finals of the next world championship, followed by participation in the Asian Championship in Kuwait and then preparing to compete in the Arab championships in Qatar.
