Rashed and Meshari Nawaf qualify to semifinals of GCC Tennis Championship

Muscat, December 24, 2018-Qatar's Rashed and Meshari Nawaf qualified to the semifinals of GCC Tennis Championship (U14 and U18) being held in Muscat, Oman.

To conclude on December 29, the championship brings together 5 nations.

Qatar's Rashed Nawaf qualified to the semifinals of boys under 14 years event after beating Kuwait's Abdulrazaq Abdullah 6-0 6-0 while Meshari Nawaf edged past his compatriot Nasser Al Yafaei.

Khalid Al Khelaifi, Board Member of the Qatar Tennis, Squash and Badminton Federation (QTSBF) and Chairman of National Teams Committee stressed the importance of the GCC tournaments as they contribute to the development of national teams and provide the Qatari players with required experience.

Al Khelaifi wished the best for the Qatari players at this important gathering and reaffirmed that the QTSBF is confident that its players can show their best in the GCC Championship.
