Sheikh Joaan Meets Presidents of NOCs
Doha, October 18 (QNA) - HE President of the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, met yesterday with HE the President of the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee Susanne Lyons.
HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al -Thani also met with HE Vice-President of the Belarusian Olympic Committee Dr. Viktor Lukashenko, on the sidelines of the 24th General Assembly of the Association of the National Olympic Committees (ANOC) in Doha.
His Excellency also met with HE President of the Algerian Olympic Committee Mustapha Berraf, and HE President of the Spanish Olympic Committee Alejandro Blanco.
After the evening session of the ANOC meetings, HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani met with HE President of the Dominican Olympic Committee Luis Mrjia.
The meetings reviewed aspects of sports cooperation and ways to boost and develop them in the coming stage.
During the meetings, the Heads of the National Olympic Committees (NOCs) praised the State of Qatar's organization of the World Beach Games held in Doha from 11 to 16 October, which was followed by the 24th General Assembly of the Association of the National Olympic Committees (ANOC), which concluded in Doha yesterday with the participation of 204 committees.
