SOP Fencing competitions concluded
DOHA, April 23, 2018 – The fencing competitions of all educational stages at the prestigious 11th Schools Olympic Program 2018 (SOP) were successfully concluded on Sunday.
In the closing competitions held on Sunday , students from all different school stages displayed impressive performance in terms of skills and talent in both foil and sabre.
At the victory ceremony, Abdulrahman Al Moftah, the executive Director of school Sports Federation (SSF) along with senior fencing officials have jointly honored the top winners in a festive sport atmosphere.
The SOP is held annually as a collaborative effort of Qatar School Sports Federation (QSSF) and Ministry of Education and Higher Education, with hundreds of student athletes competing from all over Qatar.
The SOP committee aims to spread a culture of sports throughout Qatar's schools and to engage the entire community in active and healthy lifestyles while retaining local values and traditions.
