SOP girl schools competitions get significant praise
DOHA, November 28, 2018 – The girl schools competitions in the basketball, handball, volleyball and tennis at the prestigious Schools Olympic Program (SOP) received an overwhelming praised from SOP organizing committee on Tuesday.
The SOP technical committee has lauded the girls perfect performance in all competitions, saying that the girls enjoyed high sport spirit and fair competition in the SOP events.
Mr. Ali Al Hitmi, the Vice- President of SOP's Organizing Committee said the program unveiled a number of talented female athletes played vital role boosting both Qatar sport movement and Qatar's Women Sport Committee to greater heights.
The SOP is held annually as a collaborative effort of Qatar School Sports Federation (QSSF) and Ministry of Education and Higher Education, with hundreds of student athletes competing from all over Qatar.
The SOP committee aims to spread a culture of sports throughout Qatar's schools and to engage the entire community in active and healthy lifestyles while retaining local values and traditions.
