Stage set for Paralympic Day
DOHA, February 06, 2019-The School Olympic Program's (SOP) Paralympic Day for children with special needs will be held at Qatar Sport Club on Wednesday.
The one-day event, which will be jointly organised by the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) and the Organising Committee of the Schools Olympic Program (SOP), will offer the students an opportunity to take part in various sporting events.
Ali Al Hitmi, Secretary General of the Qatar School Sport Association, said “The Paralympic Day for disabled students is considered as one of the top priorities for the SOP Organising Committee to aid the integration of people with special needs into the society. "
"The day also aims at encouraging children with disabilities, their parents and their schools to take part in the SOP and enhance their sporting talents." He added.
