Students celebrate 100 day countdown for Doha World Athletics Championships

DOHA, June 20, 2019 – Schools and students nationwide have participated on Wednesday in multiple sport events and activities, celebrated the beginning of 100 day countdown for World Athletics Championships 2019 which is scheduled in Doha in September.

Hundreds of students amassed together at their schools' courtyards to share the occasion by attending orientation sessions on the championship, were briefed about valuable topics of the event and displayed their athletics skills.

Sheikha Asma Al Thani, Director of Marketing and Communication Department at the Qatar Olympic Committee shared students' celebratory scene to honor this prestigious event.

Sheikha Asma also has appreciated students' positive response , excitement and motive to support the country's ongoing preparations to host an exceptional edition of World Athletics Championships 2019 in Doha.

The city of Doha is also getting ready to deliver a winning performance, welcoming over 3,500 athletes, coaches and officials to the sporting spectacle which gets underway on Saturday, September 28, until Sunday, October 6.
