Students sparkle in SOP football competition
BEIRUIT, Lebanon, November 16, 2017 – Qatar and Al Sadd sport clubs made glorious and historical achievements for the country after securing the first and second places in the Arab Club Table Tennis Championship 2017 held in Beirut, Lebanon recently.
Qatar sports club had confidently claimed the title of the prestigious Arab Club Table Tennis Championship 2017, following their deserving 3-2 victory over countrymen Al Sadd in the final match held in Beirut on Sunday.
Both Qatari sides displayed impressive performance in the final clash , but Qatar SC confirmed supremacy to end the match 3-2.
Al Sadd SC managed in the second place while the bronze medal went to Al Maadi (Egypt) after defeating Al Fadi Al Aqdas ( Lebanon) 3-2.
At the administrative level, Qatar's Khalil bin Ahmed Al Mohannadi retained his post as the President of Arab Table Tennis Federation (ATTF) while his countrymen Mohammed Abdallah Saleh and Sultan Al Moftah have been approved by ATTF's Executive Board to assume the posts of Secretary General and Assistant Secretary General in ATTF.
