KUWAIT, October 31 , 2019 – Team Qatar continued their winning streak on Thursday to raise the country's tally to a total of 34 medals in closing day of the prestigious GCC Women's Games 2019 in Kuwait.
Qatar's athletes have displayed a remarkable performance to win a total of 34 medals , 9 gold, 14 silver and 11 bronze . Qatar athletics team won 8 medals, shooting team clinched 3 medals, fencing team seized two silver medals in Foil and Epee classes.
On the same track of glory, Qatar handball team claimed the gold medal, meanwhile table tennis team clinched 5 medals and Taekwondo team secured 4 medals in difference weight classes.
Qatar's athletics team for people with special needs have also posted their trademark in the games by winning 7 medals.
Team Qatar delegation to the games is chaired by Lolwa Al-Marri, President of Qatar Women's Sport Committee , accompanied by 132 athletes, administrators and technical staff members.
