Jakarta, August 15, 2018- Thailand fought back to snatch a 1-1 draw against Qatar in the Asian Games football tournament on Tuesday.
Hazem Shehata had given Qatar an early lead in the sixth minute, but 19-year-old Chaided Supachai equalised in the added time of second-half to earn a point for the Thais in Group B.
The match was attended by HE Mr. Ahmad bin Jassim Al Hamar, Ambassador of the state of Qatar to Indonesia and HE Mr. Jassim bin Rashed Al Buenain, Secretary General of the Qatar Olympic Committee.
In their second match, Qatar will take on Uzbekistan on Thursday. Uzbekistan began their campaign in the event with a 3-0 victory over Bangladesh to lead the group standings.
