Qatari pair ready for sprint in Youth Olympic Games

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina, October 12, 2018 – Qatar's pair Abdulaziz Mohammed and Awaab Baro shall begin their campaign in 200m and 110 hurdles at the prestigious Youth Olympic Games in Argentina's city capital, Buenos Aires on Friday.

It is worth mentioning that Qatar's promising athlete Awaab Baro claimed the gold medal in the 110 m hurdles clocked 12.67 seconds , setting a new personal and Qatari record to qualify to the Youth Olympics. Meanwhile his teammate, Abdulaziz Mohammed booked his spot in the games after winning the gold medal in 200m event.

Qatar's Olympic ambassador to the games, the swimmer Nada Mohammed is promoting for the Olympic values at the event in effort to courage national team players interacting with counterparts from different countries.

On other hand, the IOC President Tomas Bach attended a friendly football match between afflicted cave children of Thailand and Argentina's River Plate team in a humanitarian sport scene.
