Qatar defeat Chile in IHF President Cup
Koln, Germany, January 20, 2019– The Qatari handball team defeated their Chilean counterparts 37-27 on Saturday in the IHF President Cup.
Qatar took the fourth place in Group D of the IHF Men's World Championships with four points behind Sweden in the first place with 10 points, Hungary in the second with 6 points and Egypt in third with 5 points, which will compete in the second main round.
Qatar defeated Egypt and Argentina but lost to Angola, Hungary and Sweden. Chile finished fourth in Group D with 10 points, Norway came second with 8 points and Tunisia in third with 6 points, after beating Austria and Saudi Arabia and losing in the other three matches.
