DOHA – The day two panels of the Qatar first International Conference and Exhibition for Sports Engineering 2022 organized by the Qatar Engineers Society continued successfully at the Qatar National Convention Center (QNCC Hall No. 1).
At a public panel addressed “ Women in The Forefront”, the Qatari swimming star , Nada Mohamed Wafa Arakji spoke out about the Qatari women’s incredible participations and achievements in the sports field . She shed lights on her personal career and experience in London 2012 Summer Olympics and other local, regional and international tournaments .
“ By managing my time, I was able to balancing between my sport path and my social life , I was lucky to make my goals in life and sport possible and achievable”. Added Arakji.
“ As long as, any athlete loves and believes in his/her game, he/she could be able to find a way to balance between social life and sport career , then move forward and turn the dream into reality” said Arakji.
“ I got a lot of skills and experience and I’m trying to make them valuable on my work and sport career”. Added Akaji.
By the end of this panel, the event’s organizers honored Qatari Paralympic star , Sara Masoud and her mother and Qatar’s swimming star, Nada Mohamed Wafa Arakji, to supporting the Qatari women sport movement and encouraging other promising Qatari athletes to follow in on their footsteps and turn their sport dreams into real achievements that will boost the country’s sport movement to a new level of excellence.
The conference panels focus on six main sectors related to sports engineering, namely: Design and implementation of sports facilities and buildings; Engineering & sports equipment and tools; Engineering in the development of athletic skills and performance; Technology and Artificial intelligence in sport engineering; Parasport and Paralympics; and Sports and Mega Events management and Legacies.
The Qatar Society of Engineers organise this event in cooperation with Expo Tale, the implementing partner, with the support of the strategic partners – the Ministry of Sport and Youth, Qatar Olympic Committee, Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy, and Aspire Zone Foundation.
