Team Qatar shooters win gold medal at Asian Shotgun Championship
Almaty: Qatar shooters made impressive performance to win the men's skeet team gold in the 10th Asian Shotgun Championship in Almaty, Kazakhstan, on Saturday.
Team Qatar is comprising of Masoud Saleh Al Athba, Abdulaziz Al Attiyah and Rashid Saleh Al Athba — defeated Kuwait 6-4 in the final. The Kuwaiti team featured Abdullah Al Rashidi, Mansour Al Rashedi and Abdulaziz Alsaad.
Hosts Kazakhstan defeated China 7-1 to clinch the third spot. In women's skeet, Qatar put up a commendable show, finishing fourth.
In the bronze medal match, Sarah Ghulam Mohammed, Reem Al Sharshani and Hajar Ghulam Mohammed lost to China’s Che Yufei, Huang Sixue and Wei Ning 2-6.
