DOHA – The competitions of the 27th Asian Youth Table Tennis Championship got underway at the Aspire Ladies Sports Hall on Monday.
In Day one competitions, Thailand outclassed South Korea 3-0 , while Japan defeated Sri Lanka 3-0.
In group C games, India got better of Philippines 3-0 as China edged out Uzbekistan 3-0.
Kuwait, Oman and Jordan have suffered defeats in the opening days at the hands of Hong Kong and Japan.
The week-long event is bringing together 213 athletes from 24 nations, who are competing in different classes for top honors.
