Doha: The Qatar Volleyball Association's (QVA) preparations are well under way for the World Volleyball Challenger Cup (Qatar 2023), which is scheduled to take place in Doha for the first time in Middle East at the Aspire Sports Hall from July 28 to 30, with the participation of 8 teams.
Head of the tournament organizing committee Ali bin Ghanem Al Kuwari said yesterday that within the framework of the preparations for the world championship, valuable prizes have been allocated to the fans who will be present in the Aspire hall to watch the competitions.
Al Kuwari added that a training workshop for the referees was held at the headquarters of the QVA's conference hall in order to ensure the review of the electronic registration that will be used during the tournament competitions.
The participating teams have begun to arrive in Doha as those of Tunisia and Turkiye arrived to prepare for the competitions.
The International Volleyball Federation had announced the program of the event in which Qatar's first match will be against Thailand on July 28.
