Asian champions arrive home to warm welcome
Doha: The newly crowned Asian beach handball champions Qatar received a rousing welcome upon their arrival at the Hamad International Airport in Doha on Monday.
Qatar regained the Asian Men’s Beach Handball title – their sixth overall - after defeating Oman 18-14, 16-12 in the final in Bali, Indonesia, on Sunday.
Upon their qualification for the final in Bali, Qatar also booked a berth in the 2024 World Handball Championships.
Qatar Handball Association (QHA) president Ahmed Al-Shaabi and board members received the victorious Qatar team.
