First Qatar International Conference and Exhibition for Sports Engineering kicks off

Doha: Under the patronage of Minister of Sports and Youth , H.E  Salah bin Ghanem Al Ali, the first 2022 Qatar International Conference and Exhibition for Sports Engineering organized by the Qatar Society of Engineers was opened Sunday and will run from 27th to 29th of March at the Qatar National Convention Center (QNCC Hall No. 1).

Sunday’s opening ceremony was attended by Engineer, Abdullrahman Al- Malki,  Director of Assets and Projects at Ministry of Sports & Youth, Engineer  Ghanim Al-Kuwari, Deputy Director, General Technical Services at Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy and Engineer Hamad Lahdan Al-Mohannadi, Director of Support Services Sector at Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC).

The opening ceremony has also seen the  Qatar Engineers Society honored the event’s  strategic partners and official sponsors.

The conference panels focus on six main sectors related to sports engineering, namely: Design and implementation of sports facilities and buildings; Engineering & sports equipment and tools; Engineering in the development of athletic skills and performance; Technology and Artificial intelligence in sport engineering; Parasport and Paralympics; and Sports and Mega Events management and Legacies.

On this occasion, Engineer, Hamad Lahdan Al-Mohannadi, Director of Support Services Sector said:  We are  truly gratefully of  the tangible role played by  the Qatari engineer in Building  and developing our sport facilities that  meet requirement of all  local and international sport events hosted by  Doha.

“ We  wish  all success to organizers , we as  strategic partner shall  keep up our partnership with the Qatar Engineers Society to develop our  sport facilities  and make them more sustainable in compliance with the 2030 Qatar National Vision  ” Added Al Mohannadi.
