HH the Amir Attends Final of the Amir Cup
Doha, , December 18, 2020 - HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani attended Friday the final of the Amir Cup that took place between Al Arabi and Al Sadd at Ahmed bin Ali Stadium that was inaugurated today, amidst the precautionary measures imposed by the Coronavirus (COVID-19) this year.
The match was attended by HH Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al-Thani, HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al-Thani, HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al-Thani, HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani, and a number of Their Excellencies sheikhs and ministers.
The final was also attended by FIFA President Gianni Infantino, President of Olympic Council of Asia Ahmed Al Fahad Al Ahmed Al Sabah, President of the Asian Football Confederation Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, HE UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin, CONMEBOL President Alejandro Dominguez, a number of heads of Arab and international sports associations, members of the press and media, and football fans.
Al Sadd won the match against Al Arabi 2-1.
Following the conclusion of the match, HH the Amir handed the trophy and gold medals to Al Sadd team, and the silver medals to Al Arabi team. (QNA)
