Inaugural Qatar Universities Handball League 2023 kicks off
DOHA - The first edition of the Qatar Universities Handball League 2023 for men , was kicked off at the Qatar University’s new sport Arena on Sunday and will run from 12th to 21st of March, with participation of a number of high education institutions and Universities who are competing in a friendly environment full of sportsmanship and fair play.
The opening scene of Universities Handball League 2023 on Sunday was attended by senior officials and board members of the Qatar Collegiate Sports Federation (QCSF) , along with representatives of Universities, participating teams and students.
Qatar Universities Handball League is the third consecutive event to be organized within a month under the umbrella of the Qatar Collegiate Sports Federation (QCSF) , according to its calendar for the sport season 2023.
Most notably, the sport arena at the Qatar Foundation is hosting now the competitions of first edition of the Qatar Universities basketball League 2023 for Men & Women, which is running from the mid February to the 15th of March, while at the Qatar Foundation Cricket Ground students are competing for top honors in the first Qatar Universities Cricket League 2023 , from 25th of February to 19th of March.
These opening editions of Qatar Universities league are seeing a big turnout and positive response from high education institutions , teaching staff and students , on the top them , Qatar University, Doha University for Science & Technology, Qatar Foundation Universities and High military institutes.
In a pre-event statement on Sunday, the QCSF Secretary General, Mr. Rashid Saed Mohammed said the QCSF’s 2023 calendar is busy with several sport tournaments and events along the year 2023 , he hopefully these activities could be more effective in spreading the sport culture among students.
“ The QCSF will keep interacting and participating in all the sport and community events annually organized by the State of Qatar” added Mr. Rashid.
