Doha - Qatar’s beach volleyball stars Cherif Younousse and Ahmed Tijan retained their World No. 1 spot in the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) ranking.
The new list released on Monday placed Younousse and Tijan who claimed the bronze medal of Tokyo 2020 Olympics right at the top with 5040 points ahead of Anders Berntsen Mol and Christian Sandlie Sørum of Norway in the second place with 4000 points while Piotr Kantor and Bartosz Losiak of Poland claimed the third place with 3960 points.
Early this month, the Qatari duo claimed the title of King of court Series held at Aspire Zone with participation of 20 men's teams and 15 women's teams.
