QOC Secretary General participates in a beach football exhibition match

Doha- The Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) Secretary General H.E Jassim bin Rashid Al Buenain participated in beach football exhibition match between team Qatar former stars and QOC stars held on Thursday on the sidelines of the QOC Beach Games to be concluded on Friday.

Team Qatar former player Jaffal Rashid thanked the QOC for this initiative and for inviting team Qatar stars to play this exhibition match with QOC stars including H.E Jassim bin Rashid Al Buenain. Jaffal lauded the thrilling atmosphere of the QOC Beach Games in its second edition and wished to see more initiatives in the future to promote the culture of sports in the Qatari community.

The finals will begin with the Swimming Marathon for both Men and Youth to staged from 02 to 04 pm while the finals of Karate competitions for Men, Women, Boys and Girls will be held on Friday.

Also, on Friday, Al Nosoor will take on Al Adaam in the final match of Men's Volleyball. The two teams defeated Lusail and Al Waab respectively in the semifinals held on Wednesday.

in the semifinals of Women's event, Al Muharebeen defeated Al Ettihad Academy 2-0 while Al Maha recorded a 2-1 victory over Al Ettihad 1.

On the hand, Al Mashaf will shake hands with Al Thakhira in the final of Men's Beach Football event. In the Semifinals, Al Mashaf trounced Al Rowad 5-0 while Al Thakhira downed Cedars 5-3.

In the semifinals of Men's basketball event, Evo Basketball defeated infinity 17-15 while Pro Sports Lebanon edged past Lebanon.Moreover, Pro Sports defeated Qatar B 10-5 while Sports Lab edged past Qatar Team A.

In Karate Event, Yaman Uthman and Abdulatif Al Tarbasy of Al Wakra Sports Club shared the third place in Men's event while Jodi Abu Al Nada and Marah Abdulqader of X Factor Team took the third place in Women's event.

On the other hand, the Qatar Olympic Committee held a Beach Volleyball Championships for its employee on the sidelines of the second edition of the QOC Beach Games.

The new event comes in light of the QOC commitment to benefit from the legacy left by the ANOC World Beach Games, Doha 2019.

The tournament deputy Director Mohamed Abdulsalam invited all beach sports lovers in the state of Qatar to attend the finals to be held on Friday. He also stressed that the organizing committee has prepared a number of entertainment programs for all categories.
