DOHA – The third edition competitions of Qatar Olympic Committee Beach Games 2023 will get underway on Friday at the Cultural Village Katara and will run from 10th to 17th of March.
Participants from different age groups have completed registration process before begin competing in the community’s most loving beach games , including beach football beach volleyball, 3x3 beach basketball, boxing , karate, swimming go and duathlon. Organizing Committee has allocated a total QR 500.000 in prize money for top winners.
Most notably, the registration process for the games went smoothly and quickly , showing how high response from participants, lovers and amateurs of different age groups and how value of these games in the mindset of this sport loving community.
This tournament is one of the community events and activities organized by the QOC annually to take all individuals of the society to greater standards of health and to improve their physical fitness.
In a pre-games statement, the games’ head of marketing and communication committee, Mohammed Hamad Al-Meanis has confirmed that this championship is a regular stop and most loving event everyone wait is annually, it became of most prominent community events in the country.
“ Qatar Olympic Committee is always keen to add new games annually amid the rising turnout from public. We started off our first edition with three games, followed by five games in the second edition, as the number raised up to seven games in this edition due to the big respond from all community members”. said Mr. Mohammed.
