DOHA - The third edition of the QOC Beach Games 2023, was concluded at the Cultural Village Katara on Friday.
The event featured the participation of more than 800 athletes who competed for top honors in seven beach games including football, volleyball, 3x3 basketball, boxing, karate, swimming and Aquathlon.
The QOC First Vice President H.E. Mohamed bin Yousef Al Mana and the QOC Secretary General Jassim bin Rashid Al Buenain crowned the winners.
The QOC also honored the sponsors of the event in its third edition including Katara Cultural Village (official partner), Attraction (official sponsor), Vodafone (official sponsor), Elan (official supplier) and LuLu Hypermarket (official supplier).
Al Jasra claimed the title of Men's football event after beating Green Owl 3-2 in the final match while Super Soccer hoisted the trophy of women's event following their 6-4 victory over Al Malek Team.
In Men's Beach Volleyball Event, Police Sport Association edged past F 45 to win the title. Edge Fitness took the third place after beating Al Dafna 2-0.
In Women's Beach Volleyball event, F 45 defeated Edge Fitness to take the first place while Super Soccer clinched the third place.
In a post-event statement on Friday, the Qatar Olympic Committee Secretary General, HE Jassim bin Rashid Al-Buenain, has lauded the Games high technical level and people’s big turnout to the third QOC Beach Games 2023 held at Katara Cultural Village.
“ We are truly happy to see a new success being made in this edition , we still benefiting from logistic and organizational legacy that we have from incredible 2019 ANOC World Beach Games we hosted in Doha” confirmed H.E Secretary General.
“ There a group of plans are underway to increase society participation rate in these games and meet QOC’s vision and objectives”. Added H.E QOC Secretary General.
