Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad meets FIBA President
DOHA – The Qatar Olympic Committee President, HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani met on Tuesday the FIBA President Mr. Hamane Niang and accompanying delegation who are currently visiting Doha .
The meeting was attended by President of Qatar Basketball Federation, Mr. Mohammed Saad Almeghaiseeb, and senior QOC officials, in which methods of booting sport cooperation were discussed .
This high-level FIBA delegation is on a two-day operational planning and inspection visit of the world-class venues that will host the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 in Qatar’s capital city of Doha.
Mostly notably, Qatar has been declared earlier in April as a host nation of the flagship basketball event.
