Chen clinches gold for Qatar in Arab Games
Algeria: Team Qatar’s Grandmaster Zhu Chen excelled in the blitz chess event to clinch a gold medal at the 15th Arab Games-Algeria 2023 in Algiers.
Yesterday, Mohamed Abdulwahab and Ahmed Khalil also claimed bronze medal in men's doubles table tennis event.
After two more medals, Team Qatar’s medals tally in Algiers has now been increased to 19 including seven gold, two silver and 10 bronze medals.
Today, Qatar will be eyeing a gold medal in men’s handball final when they will meet Saudi Arabia in the final in Oran. Al Annabi defeated Iraq 24-23 in the semi-final.
