Qatar Volleyball Team move up to world number 19
Lausanne: Qatar Volleyball Team ranked 19 in the world rankings that was updated on Monday by the FIVB.
Team Qatar made a remarkable progress in the global classification after outstanding results the team has made recently, including its qualification for the final of the Volleyball Challenger Cup held in Doha last July after losing to Turkish counterpart at Aspire Zone sports hall.
Polish team topped the rankings with a score of 407.74 points, while US team came second with a score of 375.29 points, with the Italian team ranked third with a score of 359.02 points.
Qatar team is one of the three teams that made a progress in the classification, along with Chile which ranked 22 and the United States ranked second, FIVB pointed out in its official website.
The Qatar team has recently made a progress in the global classification as it was ranked 23 then progressed to 20 and finally ranked 19 after collecting 154.11 points.
