Lisbon: Qatar's artistic gymnastics team (boys-girls) won 12 medals (4 gold, 3 silver, and 5 bronze medals) in the Confederations Cup Championship held in Anadia, Portugal, and continues until Monday.
During the competitions, Fayrouz Hisham won two gold medals in all-around and vault competitions while Ahmed Samir won four gold medals in parallel bars, horizontal bar, pommel horse and still rings competitions.
The three silver medals were won by Loujain Attia in vault event, Ahmed Samir in men’s all-around event, and Omar Al Hafnawi in Floor exercise.
The four bronze medals were claimed by Yasmine Al Qasimi in all around event and balance beam competitions (two bronze), Ahmed Samir in Floor exercise competitions, and Omar Al Hafnawi in the pommel horse.
President of Qatar Gymnastics Federation Ali Al Hitmi praised the achievements of Qatar's artistic gymnastics team in the Confederations Cup Championship in Portugal.
