Beijing, - (QNA) - Qatar youth football team defeated their Kyrgyz counterpart 4-0 in the third and final round of the group stage of the AFC U-20 Asian Cup in China.
The goals for Qatar were scored by Tahseen Jamsheed, Moaz Taha, Mahmoud Joudah, and Nour Eddine Tamer in the 28th, 45+5, 55th, and 83rd minutes, respectively.
In the same group today, Australia also won against China 2-1.
Australia topped the group standings with 9 points from three matches, followed by China with 6 points, Qatar with 3 points, and Kyrgyzstan with no points. Australia and China secured the two qualifying spots from the group for the quarterfinals.
Qatar started the match with an early offensive. In the 7th minute, Mohamed Hani had a chance when he shot from the left side, but Kyrgyz goalkeeper Azert Ysmannaliev saved it and deflected it for a corner kick.
Qatar took the lead after Ali Al Shahabi passed the ball to Tahseen Mohamed on the right side, who advanced with the ball into the penalty area and scored in the 28th minute.
Kyrgyz team lost their captain, Atai Eshnkulov, after receiving a red card for fouling Qatar's striker Mohamed Hani in the 45+2 minute.
Qatar doubled their lead when Bassam Adel's shot hit the defensive wall, and Moaz Taha followed up near the post, scoring in the 45+5 minute.
In the second half, Qatar further strengthened their advantage and added a third goal through a counterattack. Moaz Taha passed the ball to Mohamed Khaled, who quickly advanced into the penalty area and shot past goalkeeper Ysmannaliev in the 55th minute.
Qatar continued to rely on fast counterattacks. From one of these attempts, they scored a fourth goal. Moaz sent a long pass to Nour Eddine Tamer, who advanced alone and scored in the 83rd minute, leading Qatar to a big win to conclude their campaign in the tournament.
