Qatar to take on Oman in AFC U-23 on Friday
Changshu, January 11, 2018-Qatar's Olympic team will play against Oman on Friday in the second round of the AFC U-23 Championship, hosted by the Chinese city of Changshu.
Qatar Olympic team won against Uzbekistan in the first round on Tuesday with one goal scored by Al Moez Ali in the 55th minute. After the victory against Uzbekistan on Tuesday, there was much relief in the Qatari team.
The team trained lightly today, with a focus on the recovery of the players in preparation for the match against Oman, which will be held at 7.30 pm Doha time on the Olympic Stadium.
The team management studied videos of the first match of the Omani team against China, in order to know the team's tactics, its strengths and weaknesses.
The match will be difficult as Oman is considered as one of the best teams, and its loss in the first round does not reflect its real level. Oman will enter the match on Friday with hopes of winning to qualify for the second round.
Qatar will conclude its final training session on Thursday to choose the appropriate formation for the match.
