Padel competition of QOC Ramadan Tournament kicks off
DOHA – The preliminary Men’s Padel competitions got underway on Sunday as a last major sport discipline of the QOC Ramadan Tournament 2024 , which is running from 17th to 26th of March at the Lusail Shooting Range.
In strong opening game , the duo Omar Waleed Al Hammadi & Mohammed Waleed Al Hammadi edged out the duo Sheikh Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al Thani & Salem Abdulhaleem Ali 9-0, while in the second game, the duo Salah Awad Al-Sinaidi & Fahad Hussain Al-Breik defeated their opponents, Ghanim Salman Al-Naemi & Khalid Abdalla Al Sulaiti 9-0.
In the third game, Ahmed Al-Naemi & Abdulaziz Al-Subaie got better of Bahir Ziyad Al-Ashmaawi & Mohammed Ali Al Kuwari 9-0, while Adel Mohamed Al-Hashimi and Saud Adel Al-Hashimi defeated Kamal Abdulazeem Mohammed & Ayad Kamal Mohammed 9-0 in the fourth game.
In statement on Sunday, Mr. Salah Al Saadi, Assistant Director of the QOC Sports Events Department said we are truly happy to have a duo of employee + family member in the men’s padel competitions for the first time in the history of QOC Ramadan Tournaments. This sport has became more popular in Qatari community over the recent years.
“ Bringing employee + family member together in this event comes in line with QOC’s strategy to boost productive relation between sons and parents in the sport and community tournaments” said Mr. Al Saadi.
“ This initiative represents a true sport investment on the skills of generations to come” added Mr. Al Saadi.
The QOC Ramadan Tournament returns back with several values to employees by building up better social relations out of work environment, help improving public health and preserving physical fitness for all during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
