Qatari Beach Volleyball Team to Participate in Elite 16-Joao Pessoa in Brazil

DOHA – (QNA) – The Qatari beach volleyball team is set to compete in the Elite 16-Joao Pessoa tournament, scheduled to take place in Brazil from October 16 to 20.

The tournament draw placed Qatar’s team, featuring Cherif Youness and Ahmed Tijan, in Group 1 alongside teams from Brazil, Argentina, and a fourth team to be decided through the qualifying rounds.

The Qatari team will open their tournament campaign on October 17 against Argentina’s duo, Nicolas Capogrosso and Tomas Capogrosso.

This participation follows Qatar’s third-place finish at the recent Arab Championship held in Tunisia and strong performance at the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics, where they finished fourth after competing against the world’s top-ranked teams.
