DOHA – A team from Qatar Olympic Committee’s Human Resources & Administrative Affairs Department were on a two - day working visit to Public Works Authority Headquarters , to share work and professional expertise in the field of Human resources management with their colleagues from Ashghal on 29th and 30th of April, 2024.
On day one , Ashghal’s Human Resources Department Manager , Mr. Rashid Saeed Al-Hajri welcomed the visiting team, appreciated the cooperation between the QOC and Ashghal in different fields. He delivered a brief presentation on Ashghal’s career since founded in 2005, showed stages of Ashghal progress, development, relations with government and non-government organizations and it’s center stage role in managing projects of Qatar’ infrastructure and buildings.
Mr. Al-Hajri said we are using institutional governance system to manage human resources as our sections and units are working perfectly to achieve the strategic goals of Ashghal”.
“ We are truly grateful to cooperate with Civil Service and Governmental Development Bureau in effort to create a better human resources mechanism” added Mr. Al-Hajri.
Likewise, the Heads of recruitment, employees affairs and payroll sections at Ashghal delivered brief presentations on vital human resources topics, namely policies and measures adopted on recruitment, performance appraisal, leaves, promotions, training, salaries and leave and attendance.
On day two , the employees of two organizations shared knowledge , exchanged expertise and drew creative conclusions during a practical tours they did to sections and units of Human Resources Department. They together believe that by training, development plans and governance system they can provide better human resources services.
Director of Human Resources and Administrative Affairs Department, Mrs. Maryam Mohammed Al-Kuwari said the visit was an opportunity for employees of QOC and Ashghal to share expertise , exchange knowledge and adopt the best creative methods in managing HR policies and measures.
“ This visit was a part of our ongoing initiatives to keep professional development and learning process for staff in place , as we always look to exchange knowledge in tune with the strategic goal of the QOC’s Human Resources & Administrative Affairs Department , which is :” Creating attractive and ideal working environment to better talents and experiences”. Added Mrs. Al-Kuwari.
